The Post Card

An old post card from while my mom was still in France, where she spent most of her childhood, coming to America when she was 12 years old.

Souvenir de
vos nieces
Golda, Louba & Frieda

A souvenir of your nieces Golda, Louba and Frieda, implying that this was for one of my mother's aunts or uncles.

Something was erased in the bottom left corner, but I can't make out what it is.

Famille
Max Krechavsky
Chicago Ill
U. S. A

I believe Max Krechavsky was my mother's mother's brother (my mother's uncle), who apparently lived in Chicago. It's curious that there's no postage on the back anywhere, and the address itself is rather interesting. Seeing that my mother still had it in her possession, I'm guessing it was never sent.

Here's the front, with my mom (seated on the stool) with sisters Luba (seated) and Lola (Golda). Looking at my mom, I'm guessing this was taken sometime in the mid-1920s.
