Eating huo-guo (Chinese fire pot) on our apartment deck in Springfield, Illinois
in the spring of 1974. One time, I started the charcoal in the huo-guo but forgot to put water in it, and the
heat melted all the solder that held it together. Good thing though; I never realized it, but it was probably
full of lead!
