Mei-O's younger sister MeiHui took us to this piano bar where we met up with a bunch of her friends. There is a per person minimum at the bar, so we had to order a bunch of food and drinks that you can see on the table.

I got to sing a couple of Chinese songs at the piano bar with a live accompianist. The bar's name was 'Bats', hence the glowing bat over the stage.

MeiHui also sang a few songs. She actually had a slight sore throat and a little laryngitis, but she still sounded great. Notice the tip jar next to the piano. That's for the singers to tip the pianist, which we did.

Mei-O with her older brother MingQi and his wife. We stayed one night at their house in the western suburbs of Taichung, not too far from the ocean. Being on a high plateau and so near the ocean, it was pretty windy and relatively cool there.

Eating again!

A chaotic night market right behind DongHai University which I attended from September, 1972 to June, 1973. Every night it's jam-packed with locals and students shopping and eating.

Eating stinky tofu, one of my favorite snacks, at the Donghai night market. Mei-O also got a bowl of pig's-blood soup. That's MingQi's wife with us, and his son, ZhiWei in the background.

Here's the stinky tofu maker at work. I love this stuff!
