Our Taiwan Trip, March 28th - April 10th, 2004

Mei-O, her niece WenXing, her mother, her niece WenShuang, her father, her youngest sister MeiHui (WenXing and WenShuang's mom), Mei-O's nieces JiaZhen and JiaXin, her brother MingShun and his wife BiLan (JiaZhen and JiaXin's parents).

Mei-O and I went to Taiwan for two weeks (March 28th through April 10th), mainly to visit her family. We stayed with her younger brother MingShun and his family in Taiping, a bustling city just east of Taichung in central Taiwan. Mei-O's mother and father live with MingShun and babysit for his two kids, JiaZhen (age 6 when we were there) and JiaXin (age 5).

After passing through the guarded entrance, this is the main lane leading into the housing area. The four-story houses are connected townhouse- style, each with its own unique landscaping. No cars are allowed inside. Parking is all underground.

A typical greenery-lined lane.

An example of the kind of landscaping in front of each house. This is one of the better arrangements.
