Cinq Jours À Paris
(Five Days In Paris)
 
Travel with Rick and Mei-O Shabsin (and friends) to Paris!

Sometime in mid-2005, Mei-O and I and a bunch of friends got to talking about taking a trip somewhere during winter break. It had to be during winter break, since that's when Mei-O could get a week off work, and, since the other families had kids in school, all the kids could come along, too. We decided to make Paris our destination and started planning a trip so we could spend New Year's eve there. One of the people in our group, Teresa, was taking a three month sabbatical from work, so we volunteered her to plan and organize everything. What an excellent decision that turned out to be. She did a fantastic job!

There were ten of us who went to Paris, leaving Rochester on December 26th and returning on New Year's day, 2006:

Teresa contacted France Vacations and worked through them to make the basic arrangements such as flights, hotel arrangements, transfers, and a few extra perks, including a dinner cruise on the River Seine on New Year's eve. The pictures on the following pages, contributed by all the families on the trip, show the many places we visited and the many things we did (for the most part in chronological order) during our whirlwind cinq jours à Paris!
