Our European Vacation

Travel with Rick and Mei-O Shabsin (and friends) to Italy and Greece!
June 25 - July 6, 2007

On the beautiful Greek island of Santorini.
This year, we, along with some friends, decided to take a short European cruise, starting from and ending in Rome, Italy. Since we we're going to Rome to catch the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Legend of the Seas, we decided to leave four days early to spend three days in Rome and one in Florence. It was a whirlwind trip, cramming a lot of sight-seeing into 11 days, but, as tiring as it was, it was well worth it!

There were six of us who went, leaving Rochester on June 25th and returning on July 6th:
(Mouse-over each picture for another shot of each of us.)

Teresa (Pisa)

Steve (Pompeii)

Rick (Trevi Fountain)

Mei-O (Colosseum)

Grace (Maiori, Amalfi Coast)

John (Acropolis)
Here are some pictures of all of us together:

We (well, mostly Teresa and John) worked through our local AAA office to make the basic arrangements such as the flights and the cruise, transfers, and several tours, both in Rome and while on the cruise. On the Internet, we made hotel arrangements for our stay in Rome and Florence, bought our train tickets from Rome to Florence, and from Florence to Civitavecchia, Italy where we were to catch the cruise ship, with a short (two hour) layover in Pisa. The pictures on the following pages, contributed by all the families on the trip, show the many places we visited and the many things we did (for the most part in chronological order) during our amazing trip!
