The Dayan Pagoda in the Dacien Temple in Chongqing

In Chongqing, our tour group went to a tourist stop that was right next to the Dacien Temple, a well-know temple built in the 7th century A.D. When we saw this famous site right next to the tour stop, we decided to visit it instead of the planned stop. The pagoda is open for viewing - you can climb all seven stories - but, unfortunately, we didn't have the time to go inside. The temple grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The visit turned out to be a wise decision.

Us in front of the Dayan pagoda. It was pretty hazy that day, as you can tell from these pictures.
